Over the years we have had many good assembly programs for our boys and girls but yours ranks with one of the best. One of the strong points of your show was how well it was geared to children of all ages. Our sixth graders were entranced by your juggling feats equally with the kindergartners. You showed a feeling for and understanding of children as you went through your show. You are to be commended for a first rate performance; keep up the good work. Alan Johnson visited our schools in Littlefork and Big Falls, Minnesota and put on the best performance for a lyceum presentation I have ever seen. Alan is articulate, humorous, and a multi-talented juggler. He explained a great deal about juggling to the students which gave his performance an added dimension. I would recommend him as a performer to any group, young or old.

I would like to commend you for your performance at Tilden Elementary School. The students thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Not many performers can maintain the total attention of a large group of K-6 grade students for a full hour as you did. Alan Johnson performed for the 350+ kindergarten, first and second grade students of Wm. Budd Elementary School with great success. Alan’s entire show held the attention of the children and was also thoroughly enjoyed by the staff. Many of the teachers told me that Alan’s performance was by far the best of the many lyceum programs the school had experienced during this school year. The children were very attentive, listened to everything Alan said and were extremely impressed.

 

To build a 45-minute program featuring juggling and cycling that is continually new and interesting and entertaining deserves much credit. But to hold the attention of this many children for the entire length of the program is even more amazing.

 

We give Alan Johnson an “A” for always entertaining.

Your program and expertise in the areas of juggling, magic tricks, unicycling, etc. was well received by both students and faculty-not only because of its entertainment quality but also for its educational value. To become accomplished in an area of interest, students were taught it is not an overnight task. Many long hours of intense practice are required. Mr. Alan Johnson appeared before the student body of Lincoln Elementary School in Fargo, North Dakota with his act of juggling. It was very well received!

 

Mr. Johnson is, first and foremost, a very skilled juggler. He brings more than that, however, to his performance. He employs mime, great facial expressions, excellent pacing and knows how to control a large group of children.

 

Mr. Johnson works very hard at his performance and seems to genuinely enjoy what he is doing. He gives pointers about juggling during his performance and, I believe, motivates his audience to want to try the skill themselves. He also involves several students in his program, which delights everyone. I would rate Mr. Alan Johnson’s program as one of the best we have ever had here at Lincoln School.

Through the efforts of our Lee P.T.A., we were able to have you entertain the children here at our school. Did our children enjoy the program? Indeed they did.
